Default Customs and postage

Hey,
im thinking of moving to Italy and was wondering if anyone had any problems moving their belongings there? I.E did you slugged with a big import tax or anything unwelcome like that? Also I run an online business so need stock regularly sent over so also wondering if the postal service is reliable and again whether they hand out import tax bills Willy nilly!?
any pointers would be appreciated
thanks

Poste Italiane is very reliable. Poste Italiane will do their best to wreck your business. Long queues, expensive and unhelpful.
If you get stuff from outside the EU you have to pay import tax on higher value items. A courier might demand the tax at the door. Make sure you get a receipt because that is the only proof the tax was paid.

If you're from the Uk then you will hvae to thank not only Poste It, but also Boris for ruining your business. With no deal fast approaching the idea of being able to work in one country and trade in another is becoming untenable. If you move your belongings without being resident you will cop an import fee if they come by sea or air, and by road if they catch you.

Corvid seems to be delivering extra hard Brexit. My Doctor told me her daughter was now living at home after losing her job in Brighton.
