Default Contratto Commercio Question

Hi,

I have a couple of questions concerning the Contratto Commercio around the Quattordicesima, if anyone has experience with this type of contract, could I please PM you with a couple of questions?

Thanks

Nothing that you can ask openly?

i was wondering if it’s the normal monthly salary amount or if it’s connected to months worked over the previous year and when it’s normally paid.

From what I can remember, the tredecesima and the quattordicesima are connected to how many months you have worked. The 13th is paid in December and the 14th is paid in July.

If you start work on March 1st, you won't get the full whack if you know what I mean. In July you'll get 4 months' worth. In December you'll get 9 months' worth. Does that make sense?

Yea great, thank you! The only reason is asked is that my overall salary was due to be paid in 14 installments , so assumed I’d get the actual full amount until I read about this last week. I will probably have to chase it up to get it clarified because otherwise it means I won’t get the actual full amount in the contract. Thanks

Italians talk a lot about "maturare" and use it for holiday time off work too. Somebody starting work in March will not have "matured" or "earned" the full yearly amount of anything.
