Hi everyone,

I am looking for info regarding Casko car insurance for a 7 year old car.

My insurer told me they will no longer insure it fully comp due to the car's age.
I wonder if this is a case with all other insurance companies?

I will start phoning around when I have more time, but wondered if anyone knows about this?

Maybe try for mini-kasko (kasko collisione) instead of normal kasko (kasko completo) perhaps?

Actually it is Kasko colisione I am after, but they do not do it after the car is 7 years old. Maybe I should ask DH for a new car?

I am pretty sure it was an option on my car which will be 10 years old this year when it came to the renewal. It was with Genialloyd although I went with Directline in the end.

One thing I found is that the insured value of the car can differ greatly between insurers.

Best option is the new car!
