Can I get residenza very close to Brexit cutoff based on a job offer?

Hi all

I'm tempted to move back to Italy before Dec 31st, but I won't be free to leave the UK until the end of November and that's a pretty short period for sorting out paperwork. I have been a trailing spouse over here a few years ago so I know what the bureaucracy can be like, but I also noticed individual workers can be very helpful if they take a shine to you. So I hope speaking tolerable Italian and making some effort to look well groomed will help!

If I turn up in early December with a job offer, an Airbnb address for the next few weeks and private medical insurance, is that legally good enough to register for residenza immediately? I'm worried I would be told to come back after I rent a permanent flat, or get my first payslip or even after filing a tax return, which would be too late. Is there some sort of provisional status open to people who arrive before Dec 31st but don't complete the paperwork before then?

I know I can't get legal advice on here but just hope to hear others have already succeeded at this. Feel free to point me to Italian official documents if my questions are answered there, I should manage to make sense of them. Just don't know what to search for in the first place.

I dont think an Airbnb address will cut it as a residence - you will need a rental contract, registered at the tax office.

If the job contract is an Italian work one, you won't need private health insurance because your Italian INPS/healthcare contributions will automatically be taken from your salary.
