Default Buying a Tractor

Hi All,

Just looking into buying a tractor. Just a smallish one around 30hp for a around €4000.
Does anyone know the associated costs such as change of ownership, road tax, etc

Most of them are road registered but we have no reason to use ours on the road.

Sorry, I haven't got a clue. It should be easy to find out, though. Try asking either your local branch of the Coldiretti or an agenzia pratiche.

If it doesnt go on the road you dont need road tax. But if you want 'red' diesel then you will have to be a registered farmer/coltivatore diretto and all that entails. I looked into it, for various reasons, and was astonished at how many types there are out there. Wheels or track, 'snodabile' or not - there are some bargains to be had out there... it depends if you can be flexible in your requirements....
