Buying house in italy

Hi,

Ok to do this with a mortgage how do I go about it?

i.e. do i need residency?
do I get a mortgage from uk ? I think yes.. if not what kind of deposit, what costs are there that I may not be aware of?

I travel around a lot but want to get somewhere that is my own in Sicily as I love the place...

thank you

No you dont need residency.
Sort out a mortgage in the uk,because you wont get one in italy. They will give you max 70 percent at the moment.
Do your research its not as easy as it seems.
