Buying a carta prepagata and getting it activated immediately
 

Anyone bought a carta prepagata from the edicola on the corner and succeeded in activating it on the spot with no postal faffing about? I just installed the Mooney app and it looks straightforward, but I'm not in Italy right now and can't order things by post to my official carta d'identita address. They seem to have lots of sales agents though, mostly tabaccherie and edicole. Thinking of trying to get a card first thing when I'm back in September. I'm not really bothered about Mooney vs other cards, whatever works is grand.

True, but if that's the price of a decent app and an activation procedure that actually works, I'll take it. App seems fine so far.
