I have 21 19 and 15 year old boys and yes I have been there, 3 times. It's the end of the world for him, all you can do is to be there for him and HE WILL come out the other side wiser, it may take some time but i am sure he will be fine. you just have to be patience with him for now. Give him a treat something he really likes.

Poor thing. Not sure I agree with the sedatives, but if he has some previous medical history which justifies them...

My best advice is for him to really try and get out and keep busy. Time will definitely heal. As said before, if he has close friends who can pass by and force him to go out for a giro / drink etc. Good luck.
