Border at Chiasso

Sadly I am booking our transumanza back to the UK. When we arrived in July there were problems with the border at Chiasso has anybody been through there recently? Is it clear now?

We drove through on 6 September. The border itself was absolutely fine. But the Swiss motorways were bad: a couple of horrible accidents and roadworks round Lucerne. But you should have better luck a bit later in the year

We drove thru on the 10th Sept.Long queues, thought it was checks at the border. The 1 border bloke stood there playing with his phone ignoring everyone, turns out it was big roadworks in Como.Gothard tunnel was a nightmare with staggered entry and massive lines of traffic.Wasted our time waiting for tests and certs till 11am at Calais, lol.
