Blood tests
I have a health condition which isn't stable yet. I need regular blood tests so that I can self medicate efficiently.
In the Uk I had them done on the NHS. If they hadn't done the ones I needed then I could have gone through an online lab. Some tests will be no problem, they only involve finger prick blood but some dont. Question - how do I go about having my blood drawn? Thank you. |
Re: Blood tests
Olive, there is a laboratory we use on Via San Donaci in San Vito. My husband gets his free as he has an exception for his condition, but they really aren't too expensive, unless you need several tests done. If you know exactly what you need you don't need a doctors prescription either. Clint may have some further advice on the subject.
I recently thought I had the symptoms of an infection I had 12 months ago, and not wanting to bother the doctor I just took last year's results along and asked them to repeat the test. |
Re: Blood tests
You might be better going to your doctor and asking for an appointment with a specialist who will then manage your therapy.
Things are usually treated differently here and often done well. For example my partner receives a medicine that is considered too expensive for general use by the NHS. |
