becoming non-resident?
OK following on from the tax on pensions from UK thread what would be the scenario in giving up residency? And under what circumstances would that be possible-legally?

I'm guessing to be non resident for tax purposes you have to spend no more than 183(?) days a year in Italy.

We haven't even become resident yet and I'm already exhausted by all the new and forever changing legislation
I beginning to feel that it is impossible to intelligently make any sensible financial plans for the future and perhaps that stuffing my cash under the mattress may be the only place to safeguard our hard earned cash!
