BBC Sounds
 

For anyone who enjoys the output of BBC radio, from early spring overseas access will be restricted to Radio 4 and World Service. Apparently the BBC have launched a new app for the above, and podcasts. Of course if you use a VPN, you can continue to listen as normal.

I hope it works with a VPN. Italian radio isnt very exciting.

SOUNDS app still seems to be OK even without VPN. Not sure when 'early Spring' will arrive....

Yes still working in Italy, though for a couple of days I've been getting a notification banner about new app. It seems some countries have lost it already.

Yes I get the notification on web site but on on the phone app.

Some good news: the change over has been extended to later in the year. Apparently the Beeb need to address listeners' accessibility and content concerns, giving priority to where demand is highest, and so are working on providing alternative platforms to offer other stations, including radios 1, 2 ,3, 6music, 1xtra and the Asian network as well as the stations from around the regions, including local radio.
Enjoy Sounds while it lasts, I suppose...
