Hey Sophie,
Kathryn had posted earlier that there's an Irish bar in the centre of Verona.

St Anslems? That's either a Church or a girl's boarding school...
Am I close?
Either way I don't know it. I live(d) opposite the Sainsburys/South Thames College - just round the corner from the Tube station.
Small world...

I'm also originally Italian, but did live in the UK for 10 years. After a couple of years in provincial hell near Brixen/Bressanone my English partner and I have recently moved to Meran with our 4year old and would love to meet other 'ex-pats' or people who feel like that for that matter. Do you have children?
Regards, markute

just to let you know, they've stopped stocking british stuff and now only sell African food because not enough people used the shop - I think I was the only regular customer.

Re: Anyone in North Italy
thought I'd join in as well seiing as we're being all cosy and friendly.
I live close to lake garda and work in verona, i've been over here for 8 years but occasionally go through low periods when I want to go home.
If anyone fancys dropping in for a cheese and pickle sarnie or going for a coffee then my fridge is always open and reasonably well stocked. Can't beat the north of Italy for the variety of places to visit and things to do and its a bit more organised than the south (only a bit mind..)
