I've just stumbled across a website listing my blog, this forum and every other blog and forum about Italy. Sounds like a great idea but my permission wasn't asked, nor I'm guessing, was this forums permission asked. It has some kind of commercial element to it which is why the query - someone just listing my blog on theirs is fine, but this just comes over a bit cheeky in some way - something about it is bothering me big time. It's called Italytutto if you want a look. Really, not involved with it, just want to know if anyone else thinks it is a little weird.

If they are listing without your permission tell them to take it down. But looking at the site it seems like one of them that indexes sites that helps people but it is up to you what to do.

It does sound a bit cheeky on their side. However.. I'm not sure what Blogspot's policies are, and I notice you haven't got any kind of copyright on your blog ... So are they really breaking the rules? Hmmm.

But a large number on the list have. As I say it's just not something I've come across before - and I am getting increased traffic, so on the one hand nothing to complain about but on the other...I guess they are looking for revenue from ads. Don't know what it is that has got me wondering, but something has!

The guy made a post here yesterday saying to contact him if you would like your blog/site removed.

That post has been removed now though so...

Edit: It is also stated clearly on the site if you want it removed to contact them.

No, it's not even that....Don't really know what it is. I think it is because I am used to being linked only by people I know - and I also realise this sounds contrary because if I didn't want people I don't know to read it then I wouldn't post the link in my signature.....I think it is just a comfort zone issue. As I say I have had some extra traffic from it but the main traffic is from here and another forum I go on plus that from other blogs I read that list me. Nothing massive and it's not a commercial blog anyway - if Italytutto does bring more though, maybe I should consider it!!
