Yes Ms Luton, I see your point!!!! I did initially think there must be an easier way to get up your stairs, but obviously not. Party at your place then???? When should we have it?? I will bring all that is required!!

For all expats living in Verona, we are having a little 'get together' this Sat night. I have e mailed some of you personally through this thread. If you can't make it this time, we are hoping to make it a regular thing. Please e mail or private message me for more details.

Hi, I'm interested. It would be nice to actually speak to someone and not just send cyber messages to and fro... I've heard there's an English evening in a villa near Cavalcaselle (VR) with "english"music...not sure what that means or when exactly but very soon. I'll take a look on the internet and pass on the info.

in March the kids and I and a whole group of friends went to a birreria to celebrate St Patrick's night. The place had been advertising for ages and we were looking forward to a bit of good old traditional foklore (my dad is irish).
I had decorated Chloe's cheeks with a green glittery shamrock and everyone was wearing something green as tradition wants.
AND the guys started playing ..................
not a single irish song !
They had advertised themselves as being a celtic band. The bloody birreria had hired them without a trial and they were SPANISH CELTIC GUITARS !!!!!!!
So much for the kids and I singing along to our ould favourites!!!!! They were good players I imagine but nothing at all to do with irish - what a dissapointment !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
