There's a link in the email directing to an online form, promising refund within 20 days.O,Leary did say yesterday though it would be a few months.I heard BA and EasyJet removed their links.

I hope not, the theatre trip in London to celebrate grand daughters birthday has been cancelled. I'll just let it go and suffer the loss if it isn't cancelled.

Just sticking my nose in here in case it helps anyone reading

I had 2 EasyJet flights booked, one on 5 May Liverpool - Palermo return, and one for 17 May Liverpool - Madrid return.
For the past 3 weeks EasyJet have been sending me emails urging me to either rebook the flights for a later date, or accept a travel voucher. Brian's correct in that EasyJet and BA have removed the refund link on their websites. I didn't respond, not only because those options are pretty useless to me as I live in Australia, but also because I know they're required by law to offer you a refund if they cancel the flights.

On 30 April I finally received an email from EasyJet saying the Palermo flight on 5 May had been cancelled, and providing a link to their refund page. When I'd filled it out I got an email notification saying that my request had been received, and although they usually process refunds within 28 days it may take longer at present.

I suppose I'll get one for the Madrid flight a few days before it was due to depart as well. They seem to be leaving it until the last minute, hoping people will panic and just accept a refund or travel voucher. Sneaky buggers Good luck to everyone seeking travel refunds, and I'm looking forward to visiting Italy again when things quieten down.

Ryanair are not refunding flights. They send you vouchers and, if you refuse, offer a refund when the Coronavirus emergency is over -6 months +.

They will be bankrupt after 6 months. It will be back to BA and Alitalia.

I had just been reading about the Rolls Royce lay off proposals and Buffet dumping his airline shares.

It's being reported that France will, until 24 July, put in quarantine for 14 days anyone entering the country. So impossible to drive to Italy in that case

It seems to have been made quite clear that visiting a friend is not allowed because they are not congiunti or affetti stabili. I beg to disagree given that my friendships here are a lot more 'stable' than those with my Italian in-laws. Italy still seems to be stuck in the extended family network forgetting that some people don't have family in the same region and some don't have any family at all. I saw a FAQ section where an old lady said that she had no family so could a friend visit her and the answer was no.

I can't find an answer to my question. Alex can go and visit his nonna in a different comune, but can he drive himself there? He's old enough to have his "patentino" and his motorbike but at 16 I presume he's not allowed to sign his own auto-certificate? Do I sign it which implies I know where he is going with my permission or do I have to drive him there myself?

No mention of vouchers, but they send them anyway.
