Accommodation needed !
 
My wife and I (+ dog) are planning to come to Italy mid-August and, initally for 3 months, would like to locate to the Italian mainland before going onto Sicily longer term. Prior to retirement, I was in local government and my wife a chiropodist. What we're looking for is a comfortable, 1/2 bed house/villa/apartment, with wi-fi and garden. Bringing UK car. Ideally good walking environment and not too far from services. All options considered and any help much appreciated.

If it is for a short let then August is bad as that is top price for holiday accommodation and the choice will be limited.
The Italian language sites will be best and you need to start looking now if you want August.
Puglia or Calabria are maybe better for getting a feel of Sicily.
Try Subito for a start which is a sort of Freeads. I have used it quite a lot with good results.

Zosimus, if I were you I would remove the email, it will get scrapped by malicious search engines and/or spammers - never a good idea to put it on a forum imho!
