10% Cashback on electronic purchases in Italy

The Italian government is giving 10% cashback on bank card purchases at physical shops from now until January. Plenty of rules thrown in.

Limit of €150 per person (i.e. card holder). Thus 2 adults, each with a card, qualify for up to €300, even if the same household. Then the same to be repeated in the 1st half of 2021, 2nd half of 2021 and 1st half of 2022. So a total of €600 per person available. As you say, plenty of conditions, but nothing overly onerous. And can also be used for professional services (lawyers, architects etc)

Did you read whether it includes shopping at the supermarket?
I loaded the IO app and connected with my Spid but it says something about maintenance.

Quite useful the Spid. In Umbria it is used to make hospital appointments and pay the appointment fees. Saves a lot of queuing.

The io web-site has struggled over the last few days with the number of people trying to sign up.

If you are buying multi goods together that total more than €150, put them through separately because Cash back is 10%, but the limit for every purchase is €15.

Seems designed to spread Covid19.

My son told me. He signed up for a SPID to sign up for cash back. I checked - not that I don't trust my son:rofl:- and it's true. I'll see if I can find it online.
