Default Programming in the USA

What is the best way of obtaining work in the U.S.

Has anyone got some ideas?

Brief, but honest answer - get a job with a UK firm who have offices over here then get an inter-company transfer (a big consulting firm like IBM, BearingPoint or Accenture would be your best bet).
You have no chance of getting a work visa in IT (H1-B) - I think the quota for 2006 has already been exceeded.

If you want to see what's out there try monster, careerbuilder, yahoo hotjobs or dice.com.

Check out the emigration forums for tips on how to emigrate to the US.

By all means give it a try, but it won't be a quick or easy process for you. I think its best you know that before you get your hopes up.

Good luck
