Default Oracle jobs in the US

I'm looking for an Oracle job in the US.

Can anyone point me towards useful employers and/or agencies who are prepared to sponsor me?

I've tried Jobserve but they seem to be mainly geared towards companies who expect you to have a green card already.

Cheers,
Chris

Many Oracle jobs in the US these days are more geared towards contract work, or contract to hire. And even with the companies that have perm positions it will be extremely difficult to get a US employer to sponsor you for a visa. Suggest you do some serious reading on the different types of visas and stuff. Some good places to start would be here and here.

What sector of Oracle do you have skills in? I got an H1-B visa in 1997 as a DBA instructor, based on ten years of prior experience doing just that in the UK. I worked for an Oracle partner for around five years before returning to the UK. You will need some outstanding qualifications in order to get a company sponsored visa (as Sue commented).

I'm hoping it's going to be easier now for me to find work. I'm in the final stages of moving back to the US at the moment - I'm married to a US citizen now and therefore have a different set of visa issues (finding $$$ and getting injections and stuff!)
