Java Job : Brisbane vs Perth

Thinking of moving to Australia next year and was trying to gauge the current state of the market for Java developers in Perth and Brisbane. (Our 2 choices).

I'm relatively senior (10 years+) and have done some team leading etc... but would be keen to carry on at a design / code level.

Id be happy doing J2EE but would like to continue with Spring/Hibernate which I've been getting into the past few years.

Question really is with my experience are my job prospects good or bad in the prospective cities?

Also are Ozzie projects moving away from J2EE to Spring yet? Is there much of a Spring/Hibernate market?

Cheers
Chav

Java jobs are subsiding in Perth according to some people I've spoken to - a lot of places are switching over to .NET because experienced Java people are hard to find and the .NET punters are cheaper.

I think you will find you cannot be picky about the Java technology here. Get a job first !
