IBM mainframe ?

I'm an analyst/programmer, 15 years+ experience, particularly Cobol, DL/1, Easytrieve. Is there anywhere that this sort of old-fashioned skill set would still be in demand or should I take my redundancy when it comes and forget about looking elsewhere ? I'm almost 45.

Take the redundancy mate...ofcourse there isn't that much COBOL work around these days but there is work and a lack of skilled people (must of them have retired or x-trained)....You'll find something in London or surrounding areas for a half decent wage, enough to get you through the next 5-10 years.

The only place where I know of where there is lots of COBOL work is India but be prepared to work for 5-10k a year.
