Default Is Australia rising to accept Software Technology?

Australia hasn't embraced information technology pretty well. Although most of the banks seemed to have been using cutting edge technology , manufacturing/retail seem far behind.

I had observed this about 3 years back, but have heard IT is picking up. Can someone throw some light?

Thanks

Can you provide any links to back up your thoughts? Not saying you're wrong, but interested to know too.

Is it all manufacturing systems, or just the one in your name? What does Oz manufacture?

I sincerely hope the software sector is alive and kicking; if we move over it will be paying our bills.
