Hello friends,

I am soon heading to Jakarta on assignment and would like to retain UK SIM card. Which UK sim / network provider is best in terms of coverage and roaming cost being economical?

Do you really need roaming? I've kept my UK mobile number, alongside my US mobile number, I just switch between the two SIMs. I still get UK texts when in the US and vice versa, the only reason I'd need roaming would be for data, but then I just use the data for the country I'm in anyway.

Thanks for your answer appreciate it. I just want a facility if someone from UK calls me. These can be from Bank, Job related, Etc.

Calls and texts to my UK number still work fine, as long as I'm on Wifi. It's very rare that I'm not on Wifi these days, they have it everywhere here, but don't know if Indonesia is different.
