Taking pets to the UK

We are moving from Hyderabad to the UK. Have two small dogs..could anyone throw some light on whats the best way to take them, without having to put them under quarantine. I hear it's possible now.

Yes, it is now possible the dogs will need vaccinations, micro-chipping and 'passports'. I don't know details.
