Default Repatriation by R.A.F to UK.

There are strong indications that the Foreign Secretary, Dominic Raab, might authorize a couple of repatriation flights back to the UK utilizing transport aircraft to bring back tourists stranded in India. There was an article in yesterday's Daily Mail hinting at this move, which is similar to the one that brought back tourists from Peru.I would advise any person stranded in Goa & Bihar, Delhi & Mumbai to keep in touch with their local British Consul, better still to register your details with them. Please make others aware of this because if the flights do occur, it will be a one off and if you miss them thats really it until possibly May or June when normal flights are expected to resume. Remember May & June are very hot months in India, then you have The Monsoon Season.

It's official as it's in today daily newspapers that the government has authorized airlines to bring back British nationals using your old tickets and if not possible giving out loans to those with the means to pay or where the airline will not cooperate with the sceme. They have said there is £75 million available for the scheme.

Friend who came back from india at end of April complained about how it was done. Example - flights offered to Stansted but no provision for onward travel.
