OCI Card application

Hello All,
I was in the process of applying for my OCI card from HCI London recently and was confused about a few things, would appreciate if anyone here would be able to answer them for me;

- the application form asks if anyone else in my family has applied for an oci card and is so the details of the application and outcome. The thing is that my brother has applied for it in the last few years but I am not in any form of contact with him (some family issues) and hence i have no idea of the outcome or details. Hence, would it be OK if I just said NO to the question on the application form?
- there is also a section on the application form where it asks for the details of family members still living in India. Would it be acceptable if I just entered my parents details here or do I again need to enter my siblings details?

I would appreciate if anyone could offer any guidance on this.

Thanks all.

Hi there. Just to say Welcome to the forum :)

As you can see, I'm not in India so cannot help you. Hopefully one of our helpful India residents will be along to answer your questions soon.

All the best. I hate forms. Don't you?

Thanks for the welcome 'bakedbean'.
I do hate form with a passion, especially ones where you need to fill in irrelevant information.
I hope someone in the forum can help me out of my dilemma as I've been unsuccessful in trying to contact the high commission a number of times emailing them and ringing them up :(
Thanks again.

Hello
If you have no details of your brother's application I presume you will have to put "NO". If you put "Yes" and no details it will definitely be sent back.
Parent's details are enough, the form doesn't say ALL your family, could be a very large number and only a small space on form.
My husband and children recently applied and just put one relative's name and address (it was a long address) and no problem. All his family and relatives still live in India.

Thank you for your reply. one more question for you if I may, while filling in the online form I forgot to upload the photograph and moved on to the next stage... :( can I now go back and upload the photograph or would I need to send the photograph separately?

thanks for your time :)

Sorry can't help with that question, I really don't know.
We used a specialist lawyer to help, it was worth the money as OH had no passport or birth cert. and they only gave a 50% chance of getting it but were successful.
You could ask advice of your local VFS office.
