Non-ac buses are a more comfortable cheap option, and bus passes are now available for variable periods. |

Not sure "Hop" on is the right word!! more like 'dragged' on with the masses, and getting off at the right station is an adventure. Sundays are less horrific.

I missed my stations a few times !! but the local trains are something unique about mumbai ! Its experience is something you can't get in any other place ! Please correct me if I'm wrong :fingerscrossed: |

Re: Mumbai life
Guess what ! I am visiting mumbai on the 6th of march and plan to stay there till the 9th. I know I won't get much time from my work but still would like to make the most of it.
Can someone give me any info on what's latest in mumbai ? Where should I go (not far and certainly not the common ones)? Where can I shop something for cheap and What is that one thing I will miss if I don't see it (remember: 6-9 march) |

Can someone give me any info on what's latest in mumbai ? March wont be too hot.8th march is festival of colours(HOLI).so if you are not allergic to colours ,it would be fun. Where should I go (not far and certainly not the common ones)? try some seafood at sayba in bandra.aqsa beach in malad, nice tranquil beach to relax but not safe for a swim. Where can I shop something for cheap ? Coloaba causeway for cheap stuff but if you are looking to buy some ethnic indian stuff,i know a good place in Kurla. What is that one thing I will miss if I don't see it (remember: 6-9 march) obviously holi if you havent played it before. |

I will be in Mumbai for a couple of weeks and then travel to Pune for another couple. Based on some company factors, I might be required to visit a couple more places but that's not finalized yet!
Do a search on Pune and I am sure you will find it Dread - x |
