Congratulations jimanG;
best wishes ahead .
Could you please share with us that in which profession did you apply and also were you represented by an agent? Your reply will be really helpful for us. Many thanks.

Re: YAY!! VISA GRANTED!!!
Applied as an accountant, originally on a 175 visa which we switched to a 176 CSL when we got state sponsorship (only had 115 points so the 175 submission was to ensure we had a valid application in place for if there were any more rule changes from the DIAC- we got caught out by the changes to MODL in Feb 10 and didn't want a repeat of that!). Didn't use an agent; just read everything on the application very carefully and looked at this forum extensively to make sure we had everything covered.
Dropped very lucky with certain things (such as getting the state sponsorship just before the state concerned suspended processing any more) and from submitting the 175 application through to getting the 176 CSL grant letter took only just over three months. We actually started getting all the information together (ie university results etc) back in November 2009, so its been around eight months in total from start through to end.

Thanks everyone, and good luck to anyone still going through the process.

Hopefully for you, now CSL has ended, you'll get transfered automatically onto the SMP and wont have to wait much longer. Good luck.
