x-ray worries
Hi everone,
Just about to have my x-ray, scary! I've never had TB, but I've had pneumonia twice, and both leave scars. Of course I'm worrying myself silly that they interpret the pneumonia scars as TB scars. Does ayone know if they can actually be easily distinguished? And if they look very much alike, what is likely to happen? Will the x-ray + form be sent to Australia and/or will they require me to do some testing? Hope anyone can stop me worrying. Cheers! |
Don't worry, TB scarring is very different to pneumonia.

it may well be but-
I have never had tb and my x-ray examinator flagged up 'possible childhood tb' to a small white node on my lung be aware the x-ray people know au is paranoid about tb and if they doubt anything they usually will flag it up as such -just in case they cannot tell what mine is unless i have a catscan -although i had a heaf test too which proved neg they still requested my x-rays you may be required to undertake further x-rays in au after 6 months arrival..(you just sign a form to state you would be willing) which i did anyway... cheers richard |
