Default Working Rights

Hello!

At the moment, my family (mother, father, two sisters) are currently living
in Australia on a working visa. We are originally from Canada. For myself to
be included on this visa, as I am 21, I needed to be completely dependant.
So I quit my job and concentrated on uni.

Now that the new visa is in, I was told I could get a job straight away. And
that's my plan! In March/April, though, we are applying for permanent
residency. Is it possible for me to get a job in this period of time and
simply quit the job before the papers are lodged so that I would be
dependant? Or can I continue working after the papers are lodged seeing as
how 80% of my money is going straight to them for uni fees and I would not
be able to support myself? Or could I just have my paycheques go to them
directly? Or just continue working and have everything in my name? Or should
I just not bother getting a job?

I understand that I have to be dependant, but it is extremely hard due to my
age!!

Kind Regards,

Amanda
