21 year old niece arrived Friday 21/07/23 from Northern Ireland, British passport holder. I’m a citizen and have been here almost 14 years, so she’ll use my place as a base.
With regards to the WHV, I have a few questions if that’s ok? I realise come July 2024 it changes for British passport holders with regards to the need for regional service.
Where does she stand if she wants to do the three years consecutively? Does she have to do that Regional service, given her date of arrival?
If she wants to head home after the first year, and doesn’t do the regional service, will she still be able to return for the second and third year?
Sorry, I’m very confused…

If her first arrival on the WHV was 21st July this year, she will be fine without the farm work.
