WHV question ?
We've had a lad from the uk staying with us for the last 6 months on a WHV valid from Nov 07 to Nov 08.
He goes home on Thursday and was telling me today he would like to come back but is under the impression he can't apply for another WHV ever again ?
Is he correct ?
I was thinking that maybe his unused 6 months could be used at a later date ?
Anyone know ?
Thanks

Re: WHV question ?
Hmmm - ok thanks for that. I think we may be having another talk tomorrow. He's having cold feet about going back when he could potentially have another 18 months here.

Re: WHV question ?
If his working holiday visa only expires in November 2008, he can return to Australia at any point before then and use up the remaining validity of his working holiday visa (although he would have to either leave Australia or apply for another visa before the expiry date).

Re: WHV question ?
Yes that is correct, if he has spent 6 months living & working in Perth only he cannot apply for a second WHV. He can only apply for a 2nd WHV if he has worked for 3 months, in one of the listed regional postcodes & typically in the primary industries e.g, fruit picking etc.
