If I understand the requirements correctly both, my wife and I, have to pass the the
pass mark in the Skilled Independent point test. Or is it only necessary for one of
us to get the 110 point??

As I understand it, only you OR your wife (The principal applicant) must have 110
points. If memory serves, you can get an extra 5 points if the other partner is
assessed as having the same skill level. This means you both have to pay for skills
assessment if you want the extra 5 points.
