Where can you look for employer sponsership?
Hi all,
I know that most people here go skilled independent or sponsership from familiy.
Can anybody tell me where can you start looking for employer sponsers under 457 RSMS yourself. Friends of ours have 105 points and they urgently need to make the move because of their age (40). We've tried recruitment agencies and all the obvious routes and we've received many responses like 'you have to have an appropriate visa'. But this is sponsership! You first need to find a sponser. Where can you start?
Any advice?

What sort of employment are they looking for? I'm doing similar for nurse employment - did a search on the web with some key words and emailed employers direct, asking them if they do the temp sponsorship...........

I was offered sponsorship a couple of years ago.I do not need it now so am negotiating directly.
Some agencies will also sponsor Nurses.
I have found they are usually only really interested in Easy to place Level 1 nurses as this is easy for them to do.
I do not know about other professions or trades.
However you wll not get sponsored unless you find someone to sponsor you. Obvious I know but a bit of a Catch 22 for some.
Agencies may be one way but if your skills are in demand a well prepared CV sent direct to an employer will usually get a response.
Good luck
