when do u do your medical

hi there guys, we have just started doing the bits required for our skilled visa application. Reading through all the notes it says wait until u lodge your application before u have a medical and they will tell where to get them done. We then find you should have them done before you lodge, does anyone know which way it works. thanks for reading. simon

Re: when do u do your medical

Some people front load their meds.
The meds are only valid for 12 months so if you do it too soon you may end up having to retake them(v.expensive mistake!)
We front loaded ours but I applied for an ENS visa which has a quick processing time so I was confident we would get the visa before the expiry. It did quicken the process for us.

It depends on what type of visa you are applying for.
A 136 modl may take anything from 4 to 6 months or more. Therefore taking the medicals 3 months as from date of lodgement might be something you can envisage.
Same for pcc
