Default What Visa for a sponsored Nurse WA?

My Wife has just been offered a job in Perth as a childrens nurse does anyone know what visa she will need and what the costs and usual processing times are?

If this is a sponsored position the prospective employer should be telling you this ...

Have a look at the subclass 457 visa, and the Employer Nomination Scheme - type "457" and "Employer Nomination Scheme" into the search box at www.immi.gov.au

Best regards.

She was offered the job today, we will get a formal offer in writing soon. The hospital said we should start the Visa process now, do you know if they should be paying the visa costs and any relocation costs?

Again, that is an issue for negotiation between you and the employer. Clearly it is in your best interests for the employer to pick up all the costs ...

Best regards.

look into registration as well because I believe you can't register your nursing qualifications as a Paediatric Nurse in WA you have to register elsewhere and transfer, might lengthen the process.

Nope. 457 applications are best lodged electronically.

Suggest you do as I noted above and type 457 into the search box at immi.gov.au and follow the links from there.

If you are still confused please feel able to telephone my office in Southampton on 023 80 488777 - ask for my colleague John Sylvester.

Best regards.

First question you should ask the employer is will they sponsor for a permanent migration visa.

And second question is if not, then why not.
