What is first: credit card charge or acknowledgement letter ?
Hello dear,
We have received our acknowledgement letter by email today (9 days)
Does it mean that our credit card has to be charged before that (we have
some problems with the bank () ?
Is there any connection between credit card charge and acknowledgement
letter ?
Thanks,
Ritka

Applied 26 Nov 2002. CC charged 13 Jan 2003 and still no acknowledgement letter.
Not worried at least we know they have the application if they have taken the money

I know I'm a little late with this reply, but... I posted my application
one week before you did, it arrived in Adelaide on 21 Nov, my credit
card was charged on the same day as yours, and I received the ack on 23
Jan. It *is* possible yours was lost in the mail...

I've heard some people who get acknowledgements by email 2 days after their application gets to Adelaide. and some people that get their credit card charged and only hear from DIMIA again when it is time for medicals!
I'd love to get an acknowledgement, but my application arrived at DIMIA 3 weeks ago and my credit has not even been charged, so I don't expect one soon. Or at all.

Hi Ritka,
As I am also about to pay by credit card, what was the problem with your paying?
BTW, I am from Burgas. I am going to use the offer from OBB to issue a credit card.

Hi Lostknight
Nice to hear, that there are other bulgarians in the newsgroup (we live
in Sofia)
Now about CC:
We have used First East International Bank and we haven't problems with
our application charges. We were nervous because we received our
acknowledgement letter without our credit card being charged. But 3 days
after receipt of the acknowlegment dimia charged it.
So everything is ok
Keep in touch,
Ritka

I sent mine off 1st feb 2002 and the CC was charged on 17th Match 2002. I have not got an acknowledgement yet either. Perhaps the person who licks the envelopes is away sick so no acknowledgements have been sent yet.

I sent mine off on 29th January, cc was charged on 17th March, no acknowledgement yet.
Let's look on the bright side - all this waiting is bound to be good for the soul!

If you're talking about "Visa Electron" I'd advise you to research very
carefully. I'm not quite sure it offers the same functionality as
VISA/MC...
BTW, where to in Oz? :-)
