What about social life? Programming jobs?
 

I've heard about the beauty of Perth (visited only the south-east part of OZ a few
years ago) but I wander about two things about it:

1. How are social life there? What about places to go, events, etc? I'm not talking
just about weekend excursion (bush walking and glider flying should fill that :)
but weekday hangouts.

2. What about Computer Programming positions there? Salaries vs. cost of living?
