Heart stopping moment, we have been assigned a case officer, region 5!! Things are moving on. He wants our police checks which we sent early Jan, so just hoping he now finds them. Or maybe we'll just send another set just in case. AT least we now have an email to chase on.

what else did they ask for? just your pccs? did they still ask for your meds even though you had frontloaded them? what about the AOS?

they just asked for the original Police Clearance certificates, nothing about meds, so assume they have all they need. Also asked for the 1022 forms re any change of circumstance. Sending it all off today via courier. No time to lose if we are hoping and praying to be there end of April.

Sorry to ask this but why did you need a cardiac report for your daughter? I ask this as my son, now 9, had a heart op when a baby and although fine and well it is a worry as to whether this may go against us. We are going to get a letter from the surgeon prior to meds.

Hi Mick,no problem happy to help. She has a small hole in her heart. This was picked up at her 6 week check up and she is now 9. We had to get a heart specialist to give her an echo cardiogram and detailed report. Basically the hole is very slowly closing and the Dr could foresee no future heath problems, ie she would not requiring expensive health care in the future. She has to have checks every 2 yrs and no deep sea diving.

So I would say if you get all the specialist paperwork you can to support your meds. I think they are looking for people who will cost them money in health care.
