That all sounds good, even if the gym hasn't got your original application what about a headed letter stating the info you require. What about any info connecting you and his daughter because I would imagine that would be quite strong in proving your commitment to each other.
Have you been to parent teacher meetings together, has she been in any school plays (might have the ticket from it) Are you one of the schools point of contacts in case shes ill.
What are your neighbours in Oz like could you ask them for a stat dec saying they've seen you living together you so many months years.....

I'll keep my thinking hat on!!

Thats a good idea. As her mother is still around I havent been to any teacher/parent things and I'm not down as a contact. I have however taken her to netball and watched her in swimming competitions and I used to pick her up from school on my days off as well, just not sure how to prove it though.

Kayla (the daughter) has already written a letter which I've sent in saying that she misses me and wants me back. I've got a birthday card that she made for me as well which I will send in. One of the pages of photos we sent in was just photos of myself, her and her dad. Will have to think about what else I may have. In almost all the stat decs it was mentioned how well I got along with her and that I had an active part in her life.

Okay.. my thinking hat is firmly on still too

Do you socialise with any other parents from her school? What about Kaylas mum do you get on with her? How about a stat dec from her?
Stat decs are good but I guess they also want info to back the stat decs up. So think of anything that will back up stuff in any of your stat decs.
What about car insurance, are you a named driver on his insurance?
Home and contents insurance is your stuff listed on it?

Still Thinking!!

I only really know three of the mothers, the problem is, that obviously they know Kaylas mother as well. Her mother has still not come to terms with their split and I feel that asking people she's known longer and better for a statement would just be cruel. She is currently on extended leave from work to try and help her get over her depression (which has been recognised by a Doctor)
I do actually get on with her okay, but I dont think she will be helping me to come over there.

I drove his car for a year but didnt need to be named on the insurance. My stuff was covered under his insurance but as my camera would have been my most valuable asset it wasn't listed.

Aaaaaaaaaaggggggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!

Rereading the stat decs now to see what evidence I may have to back them up that hasnt already been sent in.

I like your thinking though, am telling my boyfriend your ideas incase it makes him remember something else as well

Oh dear sorry the mother idea wasn't a good one! It's hard isn't it, if you get really stuck you could always contact an agent if you can afford it. I've read someone on here who is paying an agent hourly for help with part of an application. I think it's Swiss Tony so you could always PM him for some advice.

Anything with addresses and a date to either of you at the same address and time is what they want. As you have seen from AnthonyKirby and George these requests for more info are quite common and nothing to worry about. Good luck but I think you should be fine.

If you had utility bills to both or either of you, at the same address, over the same period, I'm sure that would put the tick in the final box.

Good luck!

Hiya Michelle,
Have just come across this thread, and by the time I read through it I think all my ideas have been covered. The only thing I can think of is why not do up a will - you can get the forms cheap from newsagents, just really basic stuff and it won't take long to do, I think ours took about 30 minutes!!
You could even make provision in your will for his daughter, perhaps??

Good luck, I'm sure all that extra info will help.

Thanks for all your ideas - we've managed to find something for almost every month for each of us. Shane went to the gym today to try and get a copy of my application showing him as next-of-kin but it was shut for the holiday, so will try again tomorrow.

Its odd, I thought my original app was pretty thorough but have now got about 50 more pages to send in! (though some of it could be irrelevant )
