Did anyone complete US background check stage ..?
3 months ago, I have filled AM7 form for US background check and I was told that it would take sometime.
Please post your timelines if you have gone through US background check by DIMIA.
US Background check is directly initiated by DIMIA and it is NOT the local police /FBI checks that we do.
Please post your replies & timelines so that we can find out the timeframe from US background check.

You're not the only one who thinks the English language test needs to
be toughened up.

This is not intended to be legal advice in any jurisdiction

Was this two posts munged together?
One sentence said you initiated the background check yourself, the other
stated that it was initiated by DIMIA.
I sometimes get a headache trying to make sense of some of these posts
written in horrible English. Am I the only one who thinks that the language
skills should be significantly increased in weight in the points test? Or
the passing threshold increased?
Please people, I know that for many of you English is not your first
language, but you do realize that you are moving to an English-speaking
country, yes? English isn't *my* first language, but I'd probably melt into
a puddle of shame if my skills were that bad. Try a little harder or you're
going to be crushed in the IELTS (and if not, then see the previous
paragraph).
That was my evening rant. I now return you to your schedule newsgroup.
