Default Waiting for a case officer to be assigned!!??

Hi All,

We applied for a Skilled independent visa back in october 07, we had an email back confirming receipt of the visa by the department in Oz.
But as we applied by paper format the procedure seems to be taking a long time even to get a case officer assigned to us! I think if we had done it on-line (which at the time would not allow me to enter my partners details) we would have the ball rolling by now!?
I check every week to see if the date I applied for the visa on are being sorted through by sending a blank email to aspc.processing@ immi.gov.au, but to no avail yet!! I see the on-line apps are going through as we speak!!
Anyone else at this stage?

Hope to hear soon

well there are still people from June/ July waiting for COs so I'm afraid you might have a bit of a wait still

Just hang on in there, they get to everyone in the end.

Hi again Josh

Have a look on here, this is the October thread:

http://britishexpats.com/forum/showt...hlight=october

You can also view progress and add your own timeline here:

http://www.beupdate.co.uk/

Its not all doom and gloom as some lucky October applicants have been allocated case officers but things have definitely slowed down for the post Sept applicants. You probably know that there were several changes made to the visa process in September, this led to a surge in applications in August, whic has generally slowed down everything for pre and post Sept people.

Good luck

Sam
