Hi Guys

Applied for 176 sponsor visa Aug 10
Recieved case officer on the 6th June 11 requested more evidence of work experince and dependency for 19 year old son. We sent evidence on the 14 June 11. Online still showing as requested have not heard back from case officer since. What should i do just wait or email him. The wait is driving me mad. Please advise how long could it take for us to get our visa approved now.

No-one can tell you how long it will take for you visa to be granted. If you only sent the evidence on the 14th, today is the 20th and there's a weekend in the middle so that isn't an excessively long time anyway

Pollyana's right though. No-one can say when it'll be granted, but 6 days from submitting evidence is nothing really. Give them a chance to process it before you start sending them e-mails.

Yep it is mind boggling, and most of us have been there waiting. But there is no point in getting frustrated or worked up, because the only person suffering is you. save some nerves for the move.

That's why I count my blessings. There are always people waiting longer! You must have the patience of a saint now!

Patience, Patience, Patience.

Your doing well to have a case officer after only 10months, I waited over two years to get my case officer and then it took another 2-3 months after medicals and PCC submitted.

You'll get a decision soon enough.

To be fair, we expect to wait even longer it is not fair you have waited the amount you have DIAC have really screwed up alot of people.

We will end up giving up soon and just remain in england!

A visa grant is not a right. DIAC have not screwed anyone up. Rules change, it's life, no one said it was fair. Obviously it's your right to 'give up' but it's also Australia's right to ensure that they have the people they want and need move to the country

Obviously it's frustrating but no more so than it ever has been or will be.
