Further on from list I see you need 7 years experience in your skill now, this will scupper some people.

A bit disappointing as not much on offer for ICT only for Business Analysts, I feel like that's a bit narrow list for professionals.

Hi, Just learn from WA SMP List that my occupation is not avaliable on it. My occupation is 342315 Electronic Instrument Trades Worker (Special Class), it is just closed to 342314 Electronic Instrument Trades Worker (General) which is listed on WA SMP.

Could I enquiry WA for 342315 could apply or not?

if it's not on the list don't bother, unless off list is possible?
Might be better off applying for a new TRA assessment?

Mates,
What about those guys who already have got state sponsorship approval and converted their visa from 175 to to 176 but now their occupation is no more on WA. SS.

Are their application's output are still valid and they will stay 2 yrs in WA if DIAC approves their visa or they are reverted back to 175?

Of course they won't be reverted back. They are not taking away your sponsorships.

The lists are usually planned in a way that they will cater future. Now that they have already given so many sponsorships they have their future catered with those skills.

Now they want these particular skills to cater further future.

Isnt your husband a fitter like me, its good that fitter is on the list, but like you i guess, i aint as you say counting chickens, yet coz who knows whats on the SMP??????????

Hi Jennifer, Tried to PM you but it didnt work...My husband is in the same situation..just about to apply to WA and he is 'special class' and it just lists 'general'. Did you reapply to TRA or just have a go at applying to WA? Thanks for any response.
