Visa validation visit
Hello all.
I've just booked my visa validation flight. I will be going from Europe to Abu Dhabi and then Sydney. From what I've researched, I don't have to ask for any Visa, just show the IMMI grant notification at airports on the way.
Can anyone confirm that? Explain their experience/difficulties at Abu Dhabi?
Thanks.

All you need to show is your passport, as the visa should be on the system. The grant notification is useful to carry in case the airline staff can't see your visa on the computer system and need to check.

I'm just changing planes...and that raises another doubt...if for some reason there is a delay and the carrier offers a sleep-over in a hotel, am I still considered in transit?

Re: Visa validation visit
If you are just in transit you don't need a visa for Abu Dhabi. If there is a delay involving a stopover the airline will deal with it, they don't expect you to get a visa "just in case".
