Re: Visa Stamp
Hi ,
My VISA stamp also contains ...condition 8... must enter aus. before
"date"
and on my spouse's VISA apart from condition 8, 8502 (shall not
enter before so and so). I hope in our case condition 8 refers to the
initial entry date.
Mr, JAJ, Mr. Lombard ,Please enlighten..
Thanks in advance

There are two dates you should be aware of.
1. Your first-entry date: The exact wording should be "Initial Entry By DDMMMYY". This should be under the words "Conditions Mig. Reg. Sched. 8".
2. The "Must not arrive after" date. This marks the end of your permanent visa's re-entry authority. http://ptlabs.topcities.com/faq0.html#rrv005 explains what I mean by re-entry authority/facility.
There is no such thing as a "condition 8"...

Re: Visa Stamp
That's correct - unless the visa was granted in London (not Adelaide)
or (possibly) unless there is an emergency. Normally you need to
send your passport to them by post or preferably by courier.
By the way, there's no Australian Embassy in London, there's an
Australian High Commission.

Re: Visa Stamp, ATTN. Mr. JAJ,Mr.lombard
It means you must make your first entry to Australia before (or at the
same time as) your spouse.
Both of you must enter Australia before the initial entry date.
After this is done, you can travel in and out independently.
