What is visa options is there for the over 60s and what is the best one.

Almost forgot to say that they have to pass a balance of family test
This means that half or more of their children have to live in Australia
eg if they have 3 children and 2 live in Uk and 1 lives in Oz they would fail the balance of family. They would also need an assurance of support which means someone who earns $40000 and can prove it (for the year)
I am an only child so my parents pass the balance of family and hubby is hoping to earn more than $40,000 for the year so we should be able to be there Assurance of Support.
Just a pity they have to wait till we have been Permanent residents before they can apply for their visa. (It is only a child who can sponsor their parent)
