Hi angiemarie

have a look at this thread

it should answer some questions.

Cheapest option there is a 10 year waiting list to get in

Next cheapest option will cost your parents the best part of £30k
Then if they have loads of money they can invest lots and lots of money.

have a look at this on the go matilda site.

There are a few people from that site waiting for contributory parent visas

Almost forgot to say that they have to pass a balance of family test

This means that half or more of their children have to live in Australia
eg if they have 3 children and 2 live in Uk and 1 lives in Oz they would fail the balance of family. They would also need an assurance of support which means someone who earns $40000 and can prove it (for the year)

I am an only child so my parents pass the balance of family and hubby is hoping to earn more than $40,000 for the year so we should be able to be there Assurance of Support.

Just a pity they have to wait till we have been Permanent residents before they can apply for their visa. (It is only a child who can sponsor their parent)

Is it really necessary to ask the same question three times?

Thats assuming you have children to sponsor you in the first place and you pass the balance of family. Looking at the other threads on JAGs post above they dont, so parental would be an issue. There is the investor visa but you need a whole loda cash!.
