Visa application processing times?

Visa application processing times?
Does any know if there is anything else backing up a reply from Diac post 137 http://britishexpats.com/forum/showt...557475&page=10 saying that visa application are processed in order from dates they are received.

I wouldnt say it was true, some applied last sept and are still waiting whilst some feb/march/april 08 have got their visas. There seems to be no preference for MODL, just a lucky dip!

We no its not true, but the email from DIAC did say they are processed in order they are recieved, why would they say this if it this isn't the rules, and if there are rules they might be somewhere for us to read.

I dont think their is any system to how they process the applications. The email is most likely an automated responce to keep us off their backs!!
