hi all,

I have some clarification from you regarding VISA 887 about claiming work experience.

As per the 887 visa requirement I have to work full time at least a year before apply this visa , which is 1820 Hours (35 hours per week X 52 Weeks).

I am doing a casual job in IT and I don't have guaranteed working hours per week.
Example:
week1: 35 Hours
Week2: 30 Hours
Week3: No Work
Week4: 60 Hours and so on.


But, I have worked total of 1820 working hours within last 2 Years. Please let me know, whether I have meet the 887 VISA requirment ?

Another way of looking at full time might be hours per month. Fulltime would be 150 hours per month? Do you meet that? It may well be worth chatting with a MARA agent where there is some doubt in meeting the criteria.

Thanks for the reply. As i said earlier working hours of month varying. Sometimes its less than 150 and sometimes more than that. But 150 hours per month means for a year it should be 1800 (150 X 12 Months). I have met that criteria.

Do you still believe that I am eligible or not ?

If there are some months where you are not working full time then I wouldn't think so but I'm only guessing. for the best advice on this, speak to a MARA agent
